Smooth Early Voting Process at IPK Kepayan as Police Personnel Cast Their Ballots

KOTA KINABALU : Early voting for the 17th Sabah State Election proceeded smoothly at the Senior Officers’ MES Hall, Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) Kepayan.


Election Commission (SPR) staff arrived from 7am to prepare the venue, and by 8am police officers and personnel were already lined up according to their respective channels as the polling centre opened on schedule. Clad in uniform, they waited calmly for their turn to cast their ballots, fulfilling their civic duty ahead of the official polling day.


Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun visited the polling centre at 9.30am to monitor the process, greeting officers and staff before casting his vote.

He said that 12,729 police personnel were voting at 58 early polling centres across Sabah today, as they will be on duty during the main election on 29 November.


Its was an orderly and incident-free process during the event. SPR officers provided clear guidance to voters and ensured efficient movement within the polling area.


Assistance was also given to wheelchair-bound voters, underscoring the commitment to making early voting accessible and well-managed for all involved.
