Ten-Cornered Fight in Membakut

MEMBAKUT: Rowindy Lawrence Odong, contesting under the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) banner, is facing a crowded field of nine other candidates in the race for the Membakut State Constituency seat.

The contest features representatives from major political coalitions , regional parties, and independent hopefuls, making it one of the most competitive battles of this election cycle.

The candidates vying for the Membakut seat are:

Professor Rusman Dulamit – Barisan Nasional

Mohd Arifin bin Mohd Arif – GRS

Rowindy Lawrence Odong – UPKO

Kamal bin Idris – Parti Impian Sabah

Adrian bin Lajim – STARSABAH

Sulaiman bin Alladad – Parti Kebangsaan Sabah

Haslan bin Wasli – Independent

Azizi bin Angkiu @ Jaafar – Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah (PRS)

Haji Yahya Ahmad – Parti Kerjasama Anak Sabah

Speaking to the press, Rowindy said she would continue to uphold her principles and remain steadfast in her advocacy of UPKO’s Sabah First agenda.

With such a diverse line-up of candidates, voters in Membakut are expected to weigh a broad spectrum of political ideals and development priorities before casting their ballots.
