KENINGAU : The Crocker Range Festival (TCRF) is set to return to Dataran Keningau from 26 to 29 June with an exciting array of events as the annual celebration enters its 8th season.
The festival is expected to be a major attraction for tourists and culture enthusiasts, not only from Sabah but across the country.
As a vital platform to celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage of Sabah’s interior ethnic communities, TCRF 2025 will feature a diverse programme of cultural and community-based activities including artistic performances, craft competitions, traditional sports, and signature events such as Miss & Mister Crocker Range and a local products showcase.
This year’s edition introduces three exciting new components — the Sabah Cultural Fiesta, Keningau Youth Fiesta, and Kids Fiesta — offering an even wider range of activities.
Chairman of the TCRF Organising Committee, Rafie Robert, stated that this initiative aims to offer free, inclusive activities for people of all ages, in line with the festival’s mission to bridge generational gaps and foster community spirit.
He noted that among the key highlights will be exclusive performances by two iconic local ethnic artists — Alena Murang and Belle Sisoski — who are expected to captivate the audience with their traditional music, showcasing the cultural identity of Borneo on a grand stage.
According to him, TCRF remains committed to being a leading platform for strengthening community unity through cultural heritage.
“We are thrilled to continue the legacy of The Crocker Range Festival as a celebration of culture and a means to reinforce social cohesion. The presence of outstanding talents such as Alena Murang and Belle Sisoski will provide visitors with a deeper cultural experience,” he said.
Rafie added that the festival also presents a valuable opportunity for local entrepreneurs to promote and sell their products directly to attendees, thereby generating a positive impact on the rural economy.
He further emphasised that the TCRF 2025 is not only a cultural celebration but also a key initiative in supporting the State Government’s policy of developing the tourism industry.
“This aligns with the aspirations of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan, which prioritises the empowerment of the tourism sector as a major driver of the state’s economic growth,” he said.
Rafie concluded by highlighting that TCRF 2025 represents a holistic approach to boosting the tourism sector, preserving cultural identity, and stimulating local economic development.
The public is invited to join in the festivities at The Crocker Range Festival 2025 and experience first-hand the vibrant and diverse cultural heritage of Sabah.
