The implication of the video on covert recording Operation

KOTA KINABALU: The revelation of a confidential video implicating a covert recording operation, the flow of nearly RM700,000 in cash, and the involvement of individuals alleged to be close to the country’s highest office is no longer a trivial matter.

In a statement released by PERPADUAN Deputy President Raynold Saikam Salinggou, this is not merely a political story, it is a Stage 5 cancer in the national system. A cancer that spreads when leaders lose integrity, when power is used not for the people but to manipulate, threaten, and destabilise state governments through clandestine operations.

"When the public sees political games of this nature, secret recordings, cash inducements, the financing of lavish lifestyles, and individuals treated like “chess pieces” all confidence in national institutions collapses.

This is the true face of decay when leaders “say one thing and do another”: promising reform on stage while conducting dirty operations behind the scenes,

"A government that allows such matters to happen, or worse, becomes involved in them, is pawning the dignity of the nation. Democracy cannot be built on bribery, cannot stand on intimidation, and can never be stable if central leaders are willing to sacrifice a state for the sake of clinging to power."

This is where MAKOR (Majlis Komuniti Rakyat Sabah) steps in as a corrective force. MAKOR does not emerge to join the chaos; it emerges as the voice of the people of Sabah who demand dignity, integrity, and a balance of power within Perpaduan.

At a time when the country is on the brink of decay, MAKOR becomes a restorer of trust, carrying the message that real power does not lie in the hands of shadowy lobbyists or political operators, but in the hands of an awakened people prepared to rise.

MAKOR must send a clear signal:

The people of Sabah must no longer be treated as pieces on a chessboard.

The state government must not be undermined through covert operations.

Integrity must prevail over manipulation.

Perpaduan only has meaning if Sabah is treated with respect, not as an object of federal political manoeuvring.

If this culture of corruption, bribery, and dark operations is not stopped, the nation will continue to deteriorate like a body consumed by cancer with no hope left.

That is why MAKOR emerges as a healing movement, bringing the courage to speak up, the commitment to fight, and the readiness to shake a system that has been rotten for far too long.

This is the moment for the people of Sabah to rise together with MAKOR, ensuring that the voice of the people can no longer be bought, silenced, or manipulated.
