KOTA  KINABALU: In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha, Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Christina Liew has donated five sacrificial cows to benefit Muslim communities in the region.

On Saturday, Liew personally distributed portions of the meat to residents in several areas, including Kampung Sabang Baru Numbak, Indah Permai, Kinarut Settlement, Sembulan, and Sinsuran. The distribution followed the ritual animal sacrifices performed by the respective imam (Muslim religious leaders) in each locality.

“My contribution is intended to help Muslim families celebrate this meaningful festival and uphold the tradition of Qurban, which involves the sacrificial slaughter of cows for food. I wish everyone a heartfelt ‘Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha’,” said Liew.

She was accompanied during the visits by her Political Secretary, Vivien Lee Mee Peng; Api-Api Community Development Leader (PPM), Theresa Chong Mui Lan; and Api-Api Community Development Officer (CDO), Yoong Yik Tin.
