Civil servants salary raise announced

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced a 15% salary increase for civil servants, effective from December 1, 2024.

Anwar stated that this raise marks the highest in the country's history, surpassing the previous 13% increase.

He mentioned that all civil servants' salaries and allowances will be maintained at levels exceeding RM2000.

He announced this today during the labour day celebration for all Malaysians.

Meanwhile, he also wished all workers in Malaysia a Happy Workers' Day.

"On behalf of the MADANI Government, I express gratitude for your efforts and hard work all this while," he said.

The MADANI Government will continue to appreciate and recognise every role played in being the main driving force towards the economic progress and development of the country, he stated.
