KENINGAU: 100 plastic chairs were accorded to the St. Markus Catholic Community (KUK) in Kampung Baru, Bingkor, to strengthen community facilities and support local activities.
The contribution was from Bingkor State Assemblyman, Datuk Robert Tawik @ Nordin, and delivered on his behalf by Bingkor Constituency Community Development Leader (PPM), Junior Fred Vincent Marukau.
The contribution was formally received by the Chairman of the Kampung Baru Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), Francis Lintau.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the community, Francis said the chairs would significantly facilitate various communal gatherings and religious programmes, easing the organisation of events for the benefit of the local population.
Robert, who also serves as Assistant Minister of Public Works, emphasised that the initiative was part of his ongoing commitment to providing essential facilities that meet grassroots needs, particularly for social and spiritual activities.
“I trust this contribution will provide greater convenience for the St. Markus Kampung Baru community in carrying out their activities. It remains my aspiration to ensure that the people of Bingkor, regardless of their background, continue to receive the necessary support and facilities,” he said in a statement.
He further extended his appreciation to all parties who have consistently worked in partnership with the Bingkor constituency leadership to advance the welfare and progress of the local community.
