Ewon visits BHESS, listens to briefing on Sabah affairs

PUTRAJAYA: Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Ewon Benedick today made a visit to the Sabah and Sarawak Affairs Division (BHESS) under the Prime Minister's Department.

He was then briefed on Sabah affairs related to the implementation of the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63) by the Division Secretary Datuk Toisin Gantor.

Also present during the briefing session were Deputy Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah and Federal Secretary of Sabah Datuk Makhzan Mahyuddin.

Following the Cabinet reshuffle, Ewon was appointed to assist Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof regarding Sabah affairs including MA63.

During the briefing session, Ewon also suggested that BHESS could be developed as a coordinator for special economic programs for the Bumiputera communities in Sabah and Sarawak.
