KENINGAU: In conjunction with the global celebration of Father’s Day on Sunday, Liawan State Assemblyman, Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, delivered a heartfelt tribute to fathers, recognising them as the backbone of both family life and the wider community.

In his message, Annuar expressed deep respect for the vital role fathers play , often as silent protectors, shouldering responsibility and sacrifice without expecting recognition.

“A father may not always say, ‘I love you’, but every drop of sweat and every effort is the most honest expression of love,” he said with meaning.

Father’s Day, observed annually on the third Sunday of June, is, according to him, more than just a day to appreciate fathers , it should serve as a moment of reflection on the strength of families built upon a father’s love and leadership.

Annuar described fathers as the “true heroes of life,” guiding lights for their children and spouses, despite their contributions often going unnoticed amidst the demands of modern life.

“Today, we celebrate all fathers not just as heads of families, but as individuals who carry hopes and give strength. Keep going strong, and continue to be the light of your family.”

He also wishes all fathers continued health, long life, and peace of mind as they lead and guide their loved ones.

“You are valued. You are loved. Happy Father’s Day.”

The message drew appreciation from the local community, particularly among younger voters and the elderly, who viewed such words of empathy and humanity as a reflection of a leader deeply attuned to the people.

This year’s Father’s Day was celebrated in a modest yet meaningful manner in rural Liawan, where the values of family remain at the heart of community harmony.
