Indonesian Consul-General visits CM

KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, received a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Consul-General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Kota Kinabalu, Noorman Effendi, at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Sri Gaya, here, on Monday.

Hajiji extended his congratulations to Noorman on his appointment and expressed hope that the diplomatic relations and close bilateral cooperation between Sabah and the Republic of Indonesia, particularly in areas such as the economy, investments, education, labour, and other fields, will be further enhanced.

The two parties also discussed efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties between Sabah and various regions in Indonesia that share geographical and cultural similarities, as well as the longstanding interactions between the communities of both nations.
