KADAMAIAN YB VISITS, DONATES TO MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS YEARLY RAMADAN ACTIVITY

KOTA BELUD: Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick continues his annual Ramadan month activity of visiting the Muslim community in his area.

He visited Kg Lompios and presented donations in the form of grocery items to 32 Muslim households for their Hari Raya celebration later.

"This year, we changed from Breaking Fast programme to Ramadan Visit programme with the Kg Lompios residents since breaking fast event is not allowed as to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"During the visit, I presented donations to 32 Muslim household heads and hope my and my team presence bring joy to those who celebrate Hari Raya," he said.

Recently, he also conducted Ramadan visit in Kg Lobong-Lobong.

He has started the practice of breaking fast with the Muslim community in Kadamaian for the past six years ago, before becoming a representative, but has to discard the activity this year to make way for Covid-19 SOP.

Meanwhile, in Mukim Lasau, Ewon donated to five suraus in the area. The donations were presented by the former village head of Kg Gonok, Junaidi Alim, on his behalf.
