KOTA KINABALU: A nine-day ASEAN Muslim Youth Leadership Training programme, jointly organised by the Regional Islamic Da’wah Council of Southeast Asia and the Pacific (RISEAP), the United Sabah Islamic Association (USIA), and the Council of Sabah Islamic NGOs, will be held in Kota Kinabalu from 16 August.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor was briefed on the upcoming event by RISEAP Honorary Secretary-General, Dato Haji Mohamad Marzuki Mohamad Omar, during a courtesy visit to Menara Kinabalu earlier today.

According to Mohamad Marzuki, the programme aims to foster a strong moral foundation essential for Islamic leadership, equip participants with effective communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills, and promote inclusivity and mutual respect among youths from across ASEAN member countries.

Additionally, the training seeks to encourage active involvement in community development and dakwah initiatives, while strengthening solidarity among ASEAN youths in the pursuit of a resilient, harmonious, and forward-looking regional community.

Mohamad Marzuki was accompanied by USIA President, Datuk Sapawi Ahmad.
