MODERATE EARTHQUAKE HITS NORTH OF MALUKU SEA, INDONESIA

KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the north of Maluku Sea, Indonesia, at 7 am today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorology Department, it occurred 132 kilometres (km) east of Bitung, Indonesia, at a depth of 83km.
However, the quake posed no tsunami threat to Malaysia. - Bernama
