MODERATE EARTHQUAKE HITS TAIWAN

KUALA LUMPUR: An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale reportedly rocked Taiwan region at 7.10am today.
According to a Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) statement the quake was detected 113 kilometres east of Kaohsiung, Taiwan with a depth of 7 km.
However, there is no threat of tsunami to Malaysia. - Bernama
