New Village Head of Kampung Melayu Bumiputera Sim-Sim receive appointment letter

SANDAKAN : The appointment of Samsuddin Tayung as Village Head of Kampung Melayu Bumiputera Sim-Sim was formalised in a brief ceremony at the Sandakan Native Court.

Tanjong Papat Assemblyman and Chairman of Sabah Development Berhad, Datuk Poon Ming Fung @ Frankie, formally presented the letter of appointment to him.

Also present was Ms Liau Fui Fui, Secretary to the Tanjong Papat Assemblyman and Chairman of Jetama Water Sdn Bhd.

In his address, Frankie stressed that the role of a Village Head is vital as a bridge between the people and the government in voicing community issues, needs and aspirations.

He extended his congratulations to Samsuddin and expressed his hope that he would fulfil his responsibilities with integrity, fairness and dedication.

Meanwhile, in her speech, Liau Fui Fui called on the newly appointed Village Head to work closely with the residents of Kampung Melayu Bumiputera Sim-Sim, fostering unity and ensuring that the welfare of the community remains safeguarded.
