KUDAT: In a generous move to support youth sports development, SMK Kudat’s volleyball team recently received a RM2,000 contribution from Tampat Do Aman, an Eco-adventure orientated resort here.

The resort’s owner and managing director Howard Stanton handed over the donation to the team’s coach Mohd Azizi Inderan during a brief ceremony held at the school, recently.

Stanton expressed his commitment to supporting student-athletes and promoting healthy lifestyles through sports.

“Sports are a fantastic way to build confidence and maintain health. I’m pleased to contribute to the growth of the students,” he said.

He also extended his best wishes to the team, teachers, and coaches for their future success in volleyball.

SMK Kudat has consistently excelled in the volleyball sport over the years, with their latest achievement being a selection of one of their players for the national tournament, Majlis Sukan Sekolah Malaysia (MSSM).

Meanwhile, Azizi said the donation will be used to purchase new equipment and upgrade training facilities, particularly for hall rentals.

“These are crucial to enhancing the team’s preparations for upcoming competitions.

“These upgrades are expected to improve the team’s performance and provide better resources for their continued development,” he stated.

The school coach also expressed sincere gratitude for Stanton’s generosity and unwavering support on behalf of the team.

He emphasised that this contribution will make a significant difference in the team’s efforts to achieve success.

Tampat Do Aman Resort’s sponsorship marks an important step in fostering young athletes’ potential in Kudat, reflecting the power of community involvement in shaping the future of local sports.
