TAWAU BATU 10 CLUSTER INVOLVES SCHOOL TEACHER

KOTA KINABALU: A new Covid-19 cluster has been detected in Tawau which has a cumulative total of 16 cases, said Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun.

According to his statement today, the Batu 10 cluster recorded one new case today.

The index case involved a school teacher who tested positive through symptomatic screening.

"Unfortunately, her husband who works at Tawau Board of Cocoa also tested positive on 31 March 2021.

"Fourteen individuals of which four of them are the workers, nine were close contacts of the workers and one student also tested positive through a close contact screening.

"Close contact screening and investigation of the cause of infection are still being actively conducted," he said.
