KOTA KINABALU: A poignant tribute to the nation's fallen heroes from the 2013 Tanduo incursion marked the state-level 2025 Warriors’ Day celebration held at the Sabah Police Headquarters in Kepayan today.
The event was officiated by the Head of State, Tun Musa Aman, who was accompanied by the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.
The ceremony began with Tun Musa inspecting the guard of honour, followed by the raising of the national and state flags, the sounding of the Last Post, and a 30-second silent prayer in remembrance of the fallen warriors.
Tun Musa and the Chief Minister, together with Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun, later visited the Sabah Police Museum and the armed forces exhibition booths.
Warriors’ Day is commemorated annually on 31 July to honour the dedication and sacrifices of Malaysia’s security forces in maintaining national peace and sovereignty.
