KOTA KINABALU: In his ongoing efforts to secure support for the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO), candidate Datuk Wong Thien Fook visited several commercial and residential areas in Inanam during the duration of the campaign which started in Novermber 16.

During his visits, Wong did not only introduced himself as the people’s potential representative and UPKO’s SabahFirst agenda, he also stressed the importance of voters exercising their civic duty responsibly and making informed decisions.

He urged residents to consider their values and needs when casting their ballots, stating, "Your vote is your voice, make it count wisely, as it will shape the future of Inanam." Wong also reminded voters to bring the necessary identification and voter registration slips, follow the correct procedures at polling stations, and behave respectfully throughout the process.

Highlighting the importance of maintaining a smooth and peaceful election, Wong appealed to voters to remain patient and courteous, regardless of long queues or the behaviour of others. He also emphasised the need to vote freely, without any undue influence, warning, "Voters must ensure they are making their choice without pressure or intimidation."

Wong encouraged anyone witnessing irregularities to report them to the relevant authorities.

"Voting is a civic duty we all share. Cast your ballot with confidence, integrity, and the hope of building a brighter future for Inanam."

His message aimed to rally community support and promote responsible participation in the upcoming election.
