KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, stated that the State Government will initiate a comprehensive restructuring process of government-linked companies (GLCs), involving the appointment of chairpersons and members of the boards of directors.
He said this measure is an administrative necessity to strengthen corporate governance and accountability, while also injecting new leadership to improve performance and drive the objectives of Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0.
“Our goal is to transform GLCs into effective and reliable economic catalysts through competent management, ultimately generating greater value for the people and the state,” the Chief Minister said.
Hajiji stressed the need for a leadership team that is dynamic, professional, and results-oriented to steer a new era driven by strategic investment, digitalisation, new energy, and social development.
“We appreciate the contributions of previous leadership, but a reshuffle is necessary to ensure effective transformation and continuity.
"Our priority is solely to secure a stable, prosperous, and assured future for Sabah in line with the aspirations of SMJ 2.0,” he said.
