KUALA LUMPUR: With a heritage spanning over 90 years, BLACKMORES continues to inspire Malaysians to take charge of their health through a wide range of premium, science-backed supplements. Trusted by millions worldwide, BLACKMORES has been honoured with the Platinum Award at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands for 11 consecutive years, reflecting its unwavering commitment to natural healthcare that supports everything from heart health to daily wellness.

"At BLACKMORES, our approach to preventive health is holistic, focusing on education and daily nutrition to empower Malaysians to take control of their own wellbeing,” said Chloe Meng, Head of Marketing for BLACKMORES Malaysia and Singapore.

As part of this ongoing dedication, BLACKMORES recently partnered with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) to promote heart health awareness within the community through The IJN Heart Games 2025 at The Curve, Damansara. Visitors benefited from health screenings, including assessments of BMI, blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol levels. Many also took advantage of advanced heart evaluations such as electrocardiograms (ECG) and echocardiograms (ECHO). Participants left with clearer insights into their cardiovascular health, emphasising the importance of early detection and preventive care.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains one of Malaysia’s most urgent health concerns. In 2023 alone, ischaemic heart disease claimed 29,741 lives in the country, almost double the 16,374 deaths recorded just four years earlier. A nationwide study conducted in 2025 revealed that over 21% of adults, approximately 3.6 million Malaysians, face a high 10-year risk of developing CVD. Beyond the human toll, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including heart disease, are estimated to cost Malaysia RM64.2 billion annually in healthcare expenses and productivity losses.

"IJN remains committed to raising awareness about cardiovascular health and emphasising the importance of early detection. Collaborations such as this enable us to connect directly with the public in meaningful and engaging ways,” said Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohamed Ezani Md Taib, Chief Executive Officer of Institut Jantung Negara.

The success of The IJN Heart Games reaffirms BLACKMORES’ dedication to supporting preventive healthcare through science-backed wellness solutions and community-driven initiatives. Its recognition as a Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand in 2025 further underscores the company’s commitment to fostering a proactive, healthier mindset among Malaysians.
