KOTA BELUD: Residents who are affected by the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) placed in Kg Melangkap Tomis here have received donations in the form grocery items from Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Some 500 residents of the village have been undergoing EMCO since April 14. The order is scheduled to end on April 27.

As of April 13, Health Ministry has confirmed that a total of 13 Covid-19 test samples have been conducted in the locality with four came back positive.

"I feel sorry for the villagers in this situation where they have to endure EMCO and are not able to go out to buy groceries. I hope that this contribution could help ease their burdens.

"Several other items will be sent to the Kadamaian Constituency Service Centre before being distributed house-to-house by the centre's secretariat and volunteers led by Anichlose," he said.
