Introducing First Tomica Brand Store in South East Asia

KUALA LUMPUR: Toys"R" Us Asia is igniting excitement for toy enthusiasts in Malaysia with the opening of its new IP Collection flagship store at Suria KLCC, situated on Level 2. This marks the most innovative Toys"R" Us concept introduced locally in nearly twenty years, featuring immersive brand zones and interactive displays showcasing many exciting IPs.

A major highlight of the store is the dedicated TOMICA BRAND STORE, making its debut in South East Asia within Toys"R" Us, opening on 18 December. This distinctive space immerses visitors in an unparalleled world of die-cast marvels. Fans can purchase original TOMICA products from Japan, along with exclusive monthly releases from the TOMICA BRAND STORE. Notably, two items will be sold exclusively at the Suria KLCC store in Malaysia, making it a must-visit destination for TOMICA enthusiasts.  

At its centre is the stunning TOMICA WALL, the largest die-cast display in South East Asia. Featuring over 2,000 miniature cars, this installation celebrates TOMICA’s craftsmanship and heritage, captivating families and collectors alike. Every weekend, the "White TOMICA Colouring" activity invites fans to personalise their own TOMICA. This launch marks the return of the successful partnership between Toys"R" Us Asia and TOMY Company to South East Asia, following the TOMICA BRAND STORES in Shanghai and Beijing.  

Additionally, the store offers a vibrant collection of timeless IPs and the latest favourites. The Gundam zone is highlighted by a life-sized GQuuuuuuX statue from the newest series, proudly standing as the only one in Malaysia. The zone also features exclusive merchandise, new model kits, and collector’s items. A three-metre Hot Wheels playset celebrates the Suria KLCC skyline, transforming a local landmark into a lively miniature world. Visitors can explore a Pokémon Trading Card Game section with access to key new releases, including the Mega Evolution – Phantasmal Flames expansion. Malaysia’s first Blokees figurine wall showcases popular characters, alongside the newly launched Blokees Wheels, available exclusively at Toys"R" Us. The recently curated Barbie zone, inspired by the iconic Barbie Dreamhouse, invites visitors to step into a scene from the movies for picture-perfect moments. Each zone offers a thoughtfully curated journey from one IP to another, enhancing the shopping experience.  

Making this a must-visit destination for holiday gifting, the store launch coincides with the "Toys are Joy" festive campaign. Shoppers can explore the Top 20 Holiday Toys, special holiday deals, and exclusive gifts—all in one convenient location.
