KENINGAU: Grassroots entrepreneurship is important in empowering micro and small business owners to drive community growth.
To boost this, Liawan Assemblyman, Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, extended a personal contribution to the Sahabat Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) Entrepreneurs’ Club, Keningau Branch.
The donation coincides with the club’s upcoming leisure programme, jointly organised with the Sahabat Representative Committee (LPS) AIM Keningau Branch, which will be held on 3 October at LD Miana Pond, Kampung Membulu, Jalan Ansip.
Representing the club, chairperson’s delegate Rahmah Rahmat received the contribution through the Liawan Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) operations assistant, Mohamad Raihan Jinode.
Rahmah said the support serves as motivation for members to continue pursuing entrepreneurship despite challenges.
“We are grateful to Datuk Annuar for his encouragement and recognition of our efforts. His contribution uplifts our motivation to keep building our businesses,” she said.
The AIM Entrepreneurs’ Club plays an active role in nurturing small-scale entrepreneurs across Keningau, with members largely comprising women and grassroots business operators who are part of the AIM micro-financing network.
By backing such initiatives, Annuar highlighted the importance of fostering self-reliance, innovation, and resilience among local entrepreneurs as a pathway to economic empowerment.
