KOTA KINABALU: The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment (KePKAS) has formalised an agreement with K.T.I. Sdn Bhd for the proposed development of a Cultural and Traditional Complex in Kinarut, Papar.

Witnessed by Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Christina Liew, the signing ceremony took place at the Ministry’s office on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Liew said the project, which will be undertaken as a public-private partnership, is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

“Once completed, the Cultural and Traditional Complex will serve as a hub for all 35 indigenous ethnic groups in Sabah to host activities and showcase their unique cultural heritage,” she said.
