NEW DTI CLUSTER IN SANDAKAN INVOLVES IMMIGRATION DETAINEE

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah today registered one new Covid-19 cluster which is the DTI cluster in Sandakan.

In a statement today, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the cluster involves an immigration detainee who tested positive before being deported to his/her home country.

"The detainee tested positive through screening for detainees on April 12.

"It was found that 55 more individuals have tested positive in the cluster. The last time this cluster was detected was on Nov 28, last year," he stated.
