KENINGAU: An External Verifiers or Pegawai Pengesah Luaran (PPL) Induction Course was successfully conducted recently as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism, skills and understanding within the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, particularly under the Malaysian Skills Certification System (SPKM).
The PPL Induction Course is a mandatory requirement under SPKM, aimed at training and accrediting individuals to serve as External Verifiers responsible for validating assessments at Accredited Centres (PB) as well as at workplaces under the Dual National Training System (SLDN) and related programmes.
The programme provided participants with early exposure to their roles and responsibilities, professional ethics and the competency standards that must be observed in accordance with industry needs and the nation’s human capital development goals.

The successful completion of the course also represents official recognition of the participants’ skills and competencies, having met the assessment criteria set under SPKM. This recognition is expected to enhance their employability and professional credibility in their respective fields.
Speaking at the programme, AMG Academy Managing Director Puan Faridah Alexius Muri Gulim said the course was not merely a training requirement but a strategic platform to produce a skilled, disciplined and job-ready workforce capable of meeting real-world industry challenges.
She added that the accreditation awarded to participants reflects their commitment and dedication throughout the training process, while also contributing to improved service quality and productivity within the sector.
The organisers noted that similar programmes will continue to be held from time to time as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen skills development and elevate the professionalism of the local workforce.
