Recipients will put funds to good use

KOTA BELUD: The chairman of the Kampung Taginambur Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Jack Indan received RM50,000 assistance from the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Corporative ( MEDC), Datuk Ewon Benedick today.
He expressed profound gratitude to Ewon who is also the State Assemblyman for Kadamaian, for the assistance, emphasising that it would be allocated towards the renovation of the community hall. He explained that the hall currently suffered from leaking roofs, rendering it unusable during rainy weather. Additionally, the restroom facilities were also in need of repair.
He shared that approximately 600 residents from his village utilised the hall for a variety of activities, including social functions, weddings, and gatherings. He further mentioned that people from neighbouring villages also relied on their hall for their events.
He stressed the importance of repairing the community hall, underscoring its significance for the community and the broader region.
"Even people from the next village use our halls for their activities," he said adding that repairing the community hall was imperative."
Minsir Lambang the JKKK Chairman for Kg Tengkurus also recieved RM 50,000 from Ewon's special funds.
"We are very grateful for the assistance as it will help us tremendously," he said adding that their gravity water pipe was not adequate to provide water to the whole village all at once..
"We adopt a system where we supply one part of the village at a certain time and then close it to allow the other part of the village to get water supply."
"With funds we received we will be able to install better water supply system with the whole village getting their water at the same time " he stressed.
Arnold Franklin Yusar, representing the SDA Church of Kg. Rangalau, received RM 25,000 from the Minister's Special funds.
He mentioned that the allocated funds would be utilized for installing air conditioning in their church, which measures 40 feet by 80 feet.
Describing the current situation, he explained that the church often felt stuffy with around 300 worshippers present, making air conditioning a much-needed addition.
"It's truly a blessing that we can now worship in comfort," he expressed gratefully.
