RELIEF CENTRE IN BEAUFORT CLOSES AFTER 35 FLOOD EVACUEES RETURN HOME

KOTA KINABALU: All 35 flood evacuees who were provided temporary shelter at the relief centre (PPS) at Dewan Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Dun Banir, Beaufort, have been allowed to return home at noon today.
The Civil Defence Force, in a statement said, following which, the PPS, which was opened since last Jan 4 was now closed.
APM, as well as other agencies, were involved in helping the evacuees, who are from Kampung Bakalau, to return home, it said, adding that APM would, however, continue to monitor the situation.
The flood, which hit Beaufort, affected 49 villages. -Bernama
