STAR TO EXPAND OPERATION TO MALAYA

2 JAN 2021

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) has agreed to extend its activities to Malaya and open new liaison offices in a number of peninsular states.

In a statement here today, STAR Secretary General Senator Datuk Guandee Kohoi said the decision was taken at the party’s supreme council meeting chaired by party president Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan on Wednesday.

“The party has named a Sabahan, Datuk Iskandar Malik as the party’s chairman in Malaya and several others will be appointed liaison chairmen to serve in offices in Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang and other states,” he said.

He said the decision to expand the party’s activities beyond Sabah does not breach the constitution of the party.

“We are also looking at a chance to contest seats in Malaya if there are requests from Sabahans who work and live there.

“I would like to take this opportunity to invite all Sabahans living in Malaya to join STAR while non-Sabahans can join STAR as allied members as well,” he added.
