Talk on Entrepreneurship with MEDC

PENAMPANG: A Madani Entrepreneurship talk was held in Keningau recently where sixty people came to have first-hand

information about the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative’s (MEDC) agency, SME Corp.


At the event, members of the Association of Interior Entrepreneurs received a presentation on poverty eradication, a significant challenge.


By emphasizing the importance of education and entrepreneurship, coupled with collaborative efforts from various government levels, a brighter future for the people of Sabah will gradually unfold.


This was the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Datuk Ewon Benedick’s message delivered by his Political Secretary Carl V Mosoom who attended the event on behalf of the Minister.


He highlighted the Ministry's unwavering commitment to fostering and enriching entrepreneurial engagement within the community. Additionally, he elaborated on the strategies and support mechanisms available through SME Corp that can facilitate the realisation of this objective..


The event was organized by Nancy Lau from the ‘Pertubuhan Suara Anak Sabah’ who also served as the Bureau Head for Women Social Welfare and Family Development.


Also present during the event were Kennedy J. Angian, UPKO Bingkor Chairman and owner of The Duo Wellness Centre in Apin Apin and Valentine Thomas, the Director of the State SME Corp office, who represented SME Corp at the event.
