Unity Cabinet Sets Course for a Prosperous and Progressive Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: The newly formed State Unity Cabinet is committed to working closely to drive Sabah’s prosperity and progress over the next five years, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.


“We have a strong foundation to achieve this, based on the development progress accomplished over the past five years. We are ready to launch the holistic, inclusive and comprehensive Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 development plan in 2026,” he said after chairing the Cabinet’s first meeting at Menara Kinabalu today.


The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of strengthening the State Government to ensure continued political stability and sustained development. He noted that the achievements of the past five years were the result of dedicated efforts to secure stability and create a conducive environment for growth.


“With this new administration, my Cabinet and I will reinforce our commitment to maintaining stability and supporting a political agenda rooted in unity and development,” he added.


He also pledged, “I am a Chief Minister for all, serving the entire people of Sabah fairly and without prejudice to their background, ethnicity or religion.”


The Chief Minister also announced the portfolios of the 17 Assistant Ministers who were sworn in on Tuesday.
