LAHAD DATU: Ten students from Kampung Banginod here who have been having difficulties to participate in their home online learning (PdPR) can now heave a sigh of relief after receiving donations in the form of tablets and wifi connection from Independent Speaker Ustaz Ebit Lew.

It is understood that the students who go to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Banginod had to go to the beach and sit at the nearby jetty to get an internet connection got their online learning which was implemented since Jan 20.

The school headmaster Mohd Sapihi Mat Yassin said, apart from the tablets and wifi donations, each of the students also received a bicycle for them to commute to and fro school.

He added that the unplanned contribution was made happen thanks to the initiative of one of the school teachers who previously held programmes to help the underprivileged students regularly. "Thankfully we were able to gather a total of 10 underprivileged students for this donation," he said.

"On behalf of the school, we thank Ustaz Ebit Lew for this contribution which can certainly help ease the burden of the students who do not possess any device for their PdPR sessions," he said when contacted by Nabalu News here, today.

According to Mohd Sapihi, the school has previously provided learning modules to students who were not able to participate in the online learning sessions.

"It is our responsibility to provide modules and send them to homes of the students involved to ensure they are not left behind in the daily learning," he explained.
