All Saints’ School Class of 1972–1976 to Celebrate Golden Reunion on Oct 24

KOTA KINABALU: Former students of All Saints’ School from the Class of 1972–1976 will reunite on October 24 to celebrate 50 years of friendship, cherished memories and shared experiences.
The Golden Reunion, themed “Golden Memories, Golden Years: Then, Now & Always”, will be held at Ewest Restaurant, Damai, Kota Kinabalu, beginning at 6pm.
Organising Chairman Datuk Wong Thien Fook said the reunion would provide an opportunity for former classmates to reconnect, reminisce about their school days and strengthen friendships that have endured for five decades.
He said the occasion was more than just a social gathering or celebratory dinner, as it represented a significant milestone in the lives of former students who had shared their formative years at All Saints’ School.
“Fifty years is a significant milestone in our lives. When we were students at All Saints’ School, we could hardly have imagined how quickly time would pass or where our individual journeys would take us.
“Today, we have grown older, raised families, pursued different careers, and experienced the many joys and challenges that life brings. Yet, the friendships and memories we formed during our school days remain a special part of who we are,” he said.
Wong said the reunion would bring together former classmates from different backgrounds and walks of life, united by their shared experiences and lasting friendships.
“This reunion is an opportunity for us to come together again, not because of our professions, positions, or achievements, but simply because we share a common history and a bond that time has not erased,” he said.
He expressed hope that the gathering would allow former students to rekindle old friendships, appreciate one another and create new memories together.
The celebration will also feature a special tribute to former classmates and teachers who have passed away, in recognition of their contributions, friendship and lasting influence on the Class of 1972–1976.
Wong also expressed his appreciation to the organising committee, emcee, singer and everyone involved in preparing for the reunion.
He encouraged all former classmates to make an effort to attend the celebration, emphasising that each individual remained an important part of their shared school history.
“Every classmate has a place in our memories, and every familiar face adds meaning to this reunion. We hope everyone who is able to attend will join us in celebrating this special milestone.
“After 50 years, the greatest gift we can give one another is our presence, our friendship, and the opportunity to share these precious moments together once again,” he said.
The Golden Reunion is expected to bring together former schoolmates for an evening of nostalgia, laughter and meaningful conversations while celebrating friendships that have stood the test of time.
Reflecting the reunion’s theme, “Then, Now & Always”, the gathering will serve as a reminder that although time passes, the memories and friendships formed during school days remain an enduring part of their lives.
