KENINGAU: The Liawan Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM) team, led by Mukim Developer Kali, Mcnarwin Jerman, representing Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, delivered two special aid items to residents of Kampung Bariawa Ulu, Keningau.
The assistance, comprising a special Hi-Low bed for Musidin Simir and a wheelchair for Muzaviah Abd Haid, aims to support their mobility and healthcare needs at home.
This contribution forms part of the Homeward Programme organised by the Keningau Department of General Welfare Services (JPKA), carried out in close collaboration with the Liawan state constituency’s UPPM.
Also present during the handover were Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Chairman, Haidie Kunsalam, and Bariawa Ulu Village Head, KK Micheal Dumi Tundou. Both welcomed the thoughtful initiative and described it as a reflection of the strong bond between leaders and the local community.
According to the UPPM representative, this initiative demonstrates Datuk Annuar’s concern in ensuring that individuals facing hardship are provided with access to basic facilities, particularly in healthcare and caregiving.
“Datuk Annuar consistently emphasises that services must reach the people’s homes, not just the offices. The comfort and wellbeing of the people of Liawan, especially those in need, remain a top priority,” said Mcnarwin.
This assistance not only alleviates the physical burden on the families involved but also provides moral support — a reminder that they are not forgotten, in line with Annuar’s leadership principle: ‘Move with the People, Touch Their Hearts.’
UPPM Liawan extended its appreciation to JPKA Keningau for the meaningful implementation of this programme, which once again proves that collaboration between agencies and local leaders can truly reach those most in need.
