Borneo Rainforest Lodge Earns Global Recognition for Sustainable Luxury at World Luxury Hotel Awards 2025

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s reputation as a leading eco-adventure and sustainable tourism destination has been further strengthened with the Borneo Rainforest Lodge (BRL) clinching three major accolades at the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards 2025 in Singapore.

BRL, a subsidiary of the Yayasan Sabah Group of Companies, achieved this exceptional milestone during the awards ceremony held at PARKROYAL Collection Pickering on 31 October.

Representing the lodge, Chief Financial Officer Esner Chong received the Luxury Sustainable Resort (Malaysia), Luxury Eco Lodge (Asia), and Luxury Wilderness Lodge (Global) awards from Adri Bradbury, Senior Luxury Awards Consultant at the World Luxury Awards.

This remarkable achievement makes BRL, nestled within the pristine Danum Valley Conservation Area, the only property in Sabah to secure wins across three categories, reaffirming its status as one of Asia’s foremost sustainable luxury lodges.

The accolades underscore BRL’s success in achieving a harmonious balance between refined comfort and environmental stewardship.

The state government-owned property is operated by Borneo Nature Tours Sdn Bhd and Innoprise Jungle Lodge Sdn Bhd, both widely recognised for their commitment to rainforest conservation, scientific research, and community empowerment.
