Chief Minister Leads State Cabinet in Corruption-Free Pledge Ceremony

KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, led the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) ceremony involving members of the State Cabinet at the Cabinet Meeting Room, Menara Kinabalu, here on Wednesday.

Immediately after reciting the pledge, Hajiji and Cabinet members signed the IBR document, witnessed by the Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah, Datuk Mohd Fuad Bee Basrah.

Mohd Fuad stated that the implementation of the IBR programme with the Sabah State Cabinet signifies a highly positive commitment by the State Government to strengthen integrity and good governance.

He added that the initiative would be expanded to include ministries and agencies to ensure that anti-corruption efforts are carried out comprehensively.

"The realisation of this programme also demonstrates the effectiveness and seriousness of the planned initiatives, so that practices of corruption, abuse of power, and financial leakages can be prevented more effectively," he said.

Mohd Fuad also expressed hope that more ministries, departments, government agencies, including government-linked companies (GLCs) and the private sector, will come forward to participate in the IBR programme.
