Christina Liew appointed as Honorary Life Adviser of the Tawau Senior Citizens Association Sabah

TAWAU: Tawau MP Datuk Christina Liew has been appointed Honorary Life Adviser of the Tawau Senior Citizens Association Sabah (Baru) (or Persatuan Wargatua Tawau Sabah (Baru).


She received a certificate of appointment from the Chairman Christopher Chong during her visit to the association's premises at Taman Guan Soon, Jalan Tanjung Batu in Sri Tanjung here on Thursday.


"I am happy to accept the appointment. I am donating RM2000 to enable the Committee and members to carry out their activities. I encourage other senior citizens to avail themselves of the association's current membership drive," Liew told reporters after the visit.


Briefing the Tawau MP, Chong said the association was registered on November 21, 2020 and has 250 members comprising retired civil servants, teachers and businessmen.


"The association offers members an ideal place for relaxation, socialisation, indoor games and Karaoke, among other activities," he added.
