CIVIL SERVANTS URGED TO DELIVER DEVELOPMENT AGENDA WITH PROFESSIONALISM

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Hj Noor urged all civil servants to focus on the implementation of the state government’s development agenda with professionalism.


“The GRS government won the mandate of the rakyat and I want all civil servants to put aside their differences to support the government of the day with professionalism,” Datuk Seri Hajiji said this when addressing his first post-Cabinet meeting with heads of departments and GLCs here yesterday.


The GRS government took over in challenging times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many government programs and activities had to be to postponed but soonest this pandemic subsides, we will ensure all development plans will proceed, he added.


Also present were Special Tasks Minister, Datuk Hj Arifin Arif and State Secretary, Datuk Seri Sr Hj Safar Untong.


The Chief Minister has been determined to keep abreast of state affairs since reporting for work after his bout with Covid-19 by calling for briefings and updates from all heads of departments and GLCs.


Among others, he has called for briefings from the Sabah Foundation, Sabah Credit Corporation, Sabah Energy and the Federal Development Office, Sabah.


His priority was also to ensure that all important positions in government and agencies are promptly filled and helmed to ensure business of the day could proceed seamlessly.


At the grassroots level, the State government has appointed 44 Community Development Leaders recently with 29 more to be appointed including Community Development Officers and Village Security and Development Committee.
