KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Law Society has noted that the Court of Appeal of Malaysia has concluded hearing the Federal Government’s application for a stay of execution in relation to the Sabah 40 per cent revenue entitlement matter.
Its president, Mohamed Nazim Maduarin, said the appellate court has fixed 6 April 2026 to deliver its decision.
The application centres on whether the High Court’s orders, including timelines set by the court, should remain in force pending the disposal of the appeal.
He said the Society would review and consider the Court of Appeal’s ruling once it is delivered.
“In the meantime, the Society remains guided by the Court’s directions,” he said in a statement issued today.
