COVID-19: ACTIVE CASES RISE TO 3,242

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 3,242 Covid-19 patients in Sabah are still being treated to date while 2,208 patients have recovered, said Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun.
He said, the state has recorded a total of 5,493 cases since the beginning of the movement control order (MCO) in March 18.
“Based on the report by the State Health Department, a total of 429 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Sabah today. Four death cases were also reported,” he said in a statement here, Wednesday.
He also reminded the public, including those allowed to operate, to comply with the set Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) throughout the period of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
Meanwhile, he stated that a total of 19,587 food baskets have been distributed to targeted groups to date.
“The food basket aid distribution was monitored by the Ministry of Community Development and People’s Welfare,” said Masidi who is also the Minister of Finance ll.
He also reiterated that entertainment outlets like night clubs, pubs, cinemas and gambling activities are strictly prohibited.
