COVID-19: TWO NEW CLUSTERS IDENTIFIED IN RANAU, KK

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah registered two new Covid-19 clusters today, dubbed as the 'Tinamon Cluster' in Ranau, and 'Jalan Sepanggar cluster' in Kota Kinabalu.


Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun said Tinamon Cluster has a cumulative total of 46 cases, including 22 new cases reported today.


The index case of this cluster was a student who tested positive through a screening of for hostel entering students.


Meanwhile, the index case of the Jalan Sepanggar Cluster tested positive after a screening of symptomatic individuals on Jan 26.


"The cluster today recorded 10 new cases and the cumulative total of infections in the cluster now stands at 12," he said in a statement today.

Sabah recorded a total of 288 new Covid-19 cases and 468 recoveries today. Two new Covid-19 deaths were also reported each in Papar and Kota Kinabalu.
