Crocker Range 2025 National Costume Competition Showcases Bornean Heritage and Creativity

KENINGAU : The National Costume Competition, held in conjunction with Miss and Mister Crocker Range Season 8, lit up Dataran Keningau last night with a vibrant display of colour and culture.

As one of the highlights of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Carnival and The Crocker Range Festival, the event captivated audiences with its celebration of traditional and modern fashion.

Jointly organised by the MSME Carnival and The Crocker Range Festival committees, the competition featured a stunning array of creative costumes inspired by both ethnic heritage and Bornean mythology.

The showcase underlined the power of fashion as a medium for mainstreaming cultural identity and heritage preservation.

Fame Lim was crowned Mister Crocker Range 2025 for his ensemble themed Hikayat Bujang Senang, designed by Affendy Ariffin (Madonna).

Meanwhile, Divya Flavia Chai claimed the title of Miss Crocker Range 2025 with The Myth of Nunuk Ragang, a design by Madon.

Runners-up in the men’s and women’s categories were Alphonsus Marcellinus (The Legend of Gombunan, Dusun Liwan Hero , designed by Vellary Aduk) and Dovindra Ashley Alvin (The Power of Lundayeh , Dexter Dylan Dunstan).

Third place went to Khairul Samsuddin (Head Hunter Warrior- Remy Nana) and Feinny Khoo Kim Ni (Mythical God Liwan – Queen Bee Attire), completing a line-up of talented participants who impressed both judges and spectators.

The competition was more than a visual spectacle, it served as a vital platform to elevate local design artistry, promote Sabah’s ethnic identity, and provide emerging fashion talents with exposure on a broader and more competitive stage.
