DAP Sabah Respects Resignations, Vows to Strengthen Party and Continue Serving the People

KOTA KINABALU: DAP Sabah has expressed respect for the decision of Datuk Frankie Poon and Liau Fui Fui to leave the party along with their respective branches.

In a statement today, DAP Sabah Chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe thanked both leaders for their years of service and contributions to the party and the people of Sabah.

“We sincerely thank them for their dedication and wish them all the best in their future endeavours,” he said.

Phoong said the party would now focus on continuing its service to the people of Sandakan and working towards more positive development for the community.

He added that he had spoken to DAP Sabah Secretary and Sandakan Member of Parliament Vivian Wong Shir Yee, and expressed full confidence in her leadership to strengthen the party’s machinery in Sandakan.

“I trust her ability to consolidate and reinforce our presence in Sandakan while ensuring that DAP continues to deliver people-oriented ideas and services on the ground,” he said.

Phoong reaffirmed the party’s commitment to serving the people of Sabah with honesty, humility, and dedication.

“My team and I, together with the new DAP Sabah leadership, will continue our struggle for a better Sabah for all Sabahans. Together, we will unfold a new chapter, one that brings hope, resilience, and unity for all,” he said.
