PENAMPANG: During the lively opening of the Penampang Parliamentary Kaamatan Festival held at Tamu Desa Inobong recently, the Deputy President of the United Sabah Progressive Organisation (UPKO), Datuk Donald Mojuntin, officially announced his readiness to contest for the N26 Moyog state assembly seat in the upcoming 17th Sabah State Election (PRN17).

Donald stated that he had previously represented the Moyog area and, with over 30 years of experience in politics and strong grassroots support, he is prepared to serve again for the development of the region.

“I believe Moyog has great potential. With the cooperation and action plan laid out by UPKO President, Datuk Ewon Benedick, Member of Parliament for P174 Penampang, we can steer Moyog towards greater and sustainable development. This is not an empty promise, but a continuation of the efforts that have already begun,” he confidently said.

Donald also emphasised that under Ewon’s leadership, they are committed to making Penampang a progressive entrepreneurial hub. He believes Moyog will play a crucial role in realising this vision.

“The youth of Moyog must be the backbone of this area's transformation. Do not fear change. Be leaders within your community, and let us work together to develop Moyog,” he urged.

The attendance of hundreds of local residents and community members at the event demonstrated strong support and high hopes for experienced and people-centric leadership like that of Datuk Donald Mojuntin.

UPKO’s top leadership is confident that with combined experience, sincerity, and high fighting spirit, Donald is the most suitable candidate to continue the development momentum in N26 Moyog.
