KENINGAU: A financial donation was accorded to the Nulu Sosopon Pilgrimage Centre of the Keningau Diocese (PZNSKK) in conjunction with the centre’s upcoming 9th Anniversary and Kaamatan Harvest Festival celebrations, scheduled to take place on 15 June 2025.
The donation was formally handed over by the Head of the Keningau Parliamentary Constituency Service Centre, Lectus Fung, to the Chairman of the Keningau Diocesan Pastoral Team, Patrick Marius, during a modest yet heartfelt ceremony.
He presented the donation on behalf of the Deputy Chief Minister I , who is also the Member of Parliament for Keningau and State Assemblyman for Tambunan, Datuk Seri Panglima Jeffrey Kitingan.
The donation is deeply appreciated, as it will help facilitate various community and religious activities planned in celebration of the occasion, Patrick said.
He emphasised that the support not only strengthens the spirit of togetherness but also offers moral encouragement to the Catholic faithful across the diocese.
“This contribution reflects the sensitivity and commitment of a leader who recognises the spiritual and social needs of a multifaith community. It inspires all of us to continue working hand in hand in the spirit of unity and compassion,” he said.
Jeffrey, who also serves as the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry, is known for his consistent support of initiatives that promote holistic community well-being, including spiritual development and communal life.
The Nulu Sosopon Pilgrimage Centre plays a significant role as a spiritual hub for Catholics in the interior regions, and serves as a venue for activities that cultivate values of family, gratitude, and faith.
