EMCO IN TWO KUNAK LOCALITIES FROM JUNE 24

KOTA KINABALU: Two localities in Kunak will be placed under a 14-day enhanced movement control order (EMCO) starting June 24 and ends on July 7.

Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun said, the localities involved under the EMCO are Kampung Pangi Hujung and Kampung JKR Lama.

"Ministry of Health (MOH), has conducted screening to both localities and found out 15 cumulative total positive cases.

Masidi added the decision to impose EMCO on these localities was made so that targeted screening can be conducted towards the public in an effort to curb the spread of the virus to other communities.
