KOTA KINABALU: Re-elected Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick said he is determined to continue carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him by the constituents despite being in the opposition bloc now.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the people of Kadamaian who have given him the trust and strong support to continue the development in the area.
“Thank you for the support and trust given by the people of Kadamaian. I will duly brace through the challenges,” said Ewon who is also the Vice President of the United Progressive Kinabalu Organization (UPKO).
He was sworn in with other Sabah Assemblymen at the State Legislative Assembly here, yesterday.
In the recent Sabah State Election (PRN), his only manifesto was to make the 2020-2035 Kadamaian Development Master Plan a success.
Ewon managed to garner 6,823 votes, defeating five challengers from other parties.
