Ewon disburse grants to Kadamaian JKKK

KOTA BELUD: Thirty-one Kadamaian Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) received administrative grants from Kadamaian Assemblyman, Datuk Ewon Benedick, during the pre-Christmas celebration of UPKO at the premises of the Kadamaian Adun Service Office here.


During the event, the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives also presented corporate social responsibility (CSR) contributions from the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM) to seven non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Kadamaian area.


The seven NGOs are Kadamaian Progressive Club, Kadamaian Welfare Club, Sayap Village Youth Club, Gompito Association, Kg. Taginambur Jaya JKKK, Lasau Podi Village JKKK, and Lahanas Village JKKK.


Each non-governmental organization received a CSR contribution of RM5,000, and each of the 31 JKKK bodies received RM2,000 as a touchpoint from the special allocation of the Kadamaian Adun.


According to Ewon, the remaining JKKK bodies will receive their respective administrative grants after they have completed the process of changing their names or opening JKKK bank accounts.


When delivering his speech at the event, Ewon stated that religious celebrations like Christmas are eagerly anticipated events in Kadamaian every year, serving as a platform for family unity and fostering harmony within the community.


Also present were the Chief Executive Officer of SKM, Rusli Jaafar, the Director of SKM Sabah, Matias Kundapin, Community Development Leaders (PPM) Saikom Watis and Demis Rumanti, and the Coordinator of TV Ruskap Muaram Publishing.


During the event, RTM also recorded the Christmas program "Kami Bah Ini," which will be broadcasted on December 25th.
