Former PPM Tandek joins UPKO

PENAMPANG: Former Wirawati Warisan Kota Marudu leader Suzie Salapan has joined the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO).


The former community Development Leader of Tandek stated that she joined the party due to her admiration for the party's leadership.


Salapan, shared that UPKO's new President, Datuk Ewon Benedick, who is also the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development, is an inspiration to young people.


"I would like to thank the UPKO leadership for accepting me into the UPKO family. I decided to join UPKO because of the inspiring leadership shown by President Datuk Ewon, who is very close to the community," she said after submitting her new membership form at the UPKO headquarters in Penampang this afternoon.


Salapan also praised Ewon for beibg able to listen and accept suggestions from the grassroots community.


"I have observed that UPKO's current leadership encourages young people to get involved in helping the community. This is one of the reasons why I decided to join UPKO and leave my former party," she added.


Furthermore, Salapan noted that UPKO has a vision and mission with clear objectives that align with her own beliefs and values.


Salapan's decision to join UPKO is a testament to the party's commitment to serving the community and empowering young people to contribute to the betterment of society.
